Sri Kaleshwar: On The Crooked Christ Tip

File under: Gurubusting, Back-Room Gurudom and Satscams

Today our attention fell on Sri Kaleshwar after one of his ardent devotees claimed to have tasted the wine he produced from water. There's nothing like stealing from Jesus to make folks think you're God.

As it turns out, he also attracted the attention of the local officials in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India, a few years ago:
The activities of Kaleshwar during the last five years included deceiving people in the name of unearthing a hidden treasure and identifying such a treasure at historical wells, temples, graves and choultries during nights with the help of a team from Poland and metal detectors and unearthing it, they alleged.

Besides smuggling of ancient idols, jewellery and diamonds, hawala, running fake currency racket, sale of narcotics, business of blue films among others also comprised his major activities during the last five years, they charged. A group of persons also used to help Kaleshwar but they later kept away.

Kaleshwar had donned the garb of a godman to safeguard his illegal activities, they alleged. According to a plan to unearth `hidden treasure' he had also encroached upon historic constructions and precious lands. Initially, he had even taken on lease illegally the lands belonging to two temples in survey numbers 394(2) and 295(4). Later, the Endowments Commissioner, Ajay Kallam, sold the land legally to Kaleshwar on the suggestion of the District Collector.
You gotta love Indian politics, where all legal troubles can be solved with a few rupees placed in the right pockets.

Don't be fooled by Kaleshwar's claims to belong to a nonexistent "divine lineage" along with various famous saints he otherwise has no connection to. He's just another of India's fabled fauxvatars working it for name, fame and financial gain. He'll be in the States in December to flimflam even more cash with his talk of "miracle energy."

Too bad the only miracle here is that there will be plenty of folks stupid enough to buy this crook's crock.

It seems that every Guru is fake, which is a true one ? Sri Kaleshwar is fake, what about Swami Vishwananda or Sai Baba ?

Er... That case you mention was thrown out of court as totally without basis or merit.

Yeah -- a few rupees in the right pocket can get results. In that case, it was a politically-motivated prosecution on totally bogus charges.

What I find interesting here is this gleeful dismissal of other people's reported experiences. All you do here is say "Hey it's ALL fake!" -- and nowhere is there any respect that someone may actually believe they've experienced a miracle. And given that, perhaps it just might be possible that a miracle occurred.

No no -- just cry "he's fake!" and that makes it true?

I would ask this: Why is it you feel such a huge compulsion to decry every guru as a fake? Such a strong desire to debunk that you maintain a blog such as this? From where comes this immense and willful skepticism?

If it was because you were once cheated by a fake -- I am truly sorry.

But I would suggest checking your facts before you malign the reputations and character of those you don't really know. Every stone thrown is karma that comes back to you.

p.s. No, no wine-tastings for me. But I have seen Sri Kaleshwar perform actual miracles. (Yes, plural.)

At least, you hope that's what it was.

What I find interesting here is this gleeful dismissal of other people's reported experiences.

What people report as their experiences and the spiritual truth are two entirely separate things in the case of the crook Kaleshwar.

nowhere is there any respect that someone may actually believe they've experienced a miracle.

So-called "miracles" are manifestations of faith. They happen by way of belief, not in any power the crook Kaleshwar purports himself to possess.

In other words, these "miracles" happen by way of the placebo effect. If you believed enough in your family dog's power to perform miracles, s/he could just as easily as that satscammer.

Why is it you feel such a huge compulsion to decry every guru as a fake?

It is not every guru, but any guru who purports to have magic powers and who claims to have special divinity.

From where comes this immense and willful skepticism?

My understanding of the nondual truth and human nature. We are all equally divine at all times, whether or not we have direct access to that understanding. Thus, our divinity is not a ticket to obtaining magic powers, which is a ruse employed by satscammers to empty your wallet.

If it was because you were once cheated by a fake -- I am truly sorry.

I've never been cheated by any guru I've come in contact with.

But I would suggest checking your facts before you malign the reputations and character of those you don't really know.

I suggest checking with the laws of nature before uncritically accepting whatever your flimflamming guru and his duped devotees tell you is true.

Every stone thrown is karma that comes back to you.

I'm just being me. The stones will fall as they may.

p.s. No, no wine-tastings for me. But I have seen Sri Kaleshwar perform actual miracles. (Yes, plural.)

Then you have been duped and are a fool.

I have had the privilege of meeting Kaleshwar. He is the real thing. It's interesting how some of us will believe anything we read in a newspaper or on the net and conclude completely unfounded facts without any true research. Nonetheless, one must ask themselves if they're truly happy and at peace; and when one is, do they spread negativity so easily? If a guru helps one to grow and find their way, that's a pretty good thing. Anonymous, I wish you well.

I've been there. I've seen the ruse. Everyone going around telling him they're in love with him and BTW did you know that Swami says Jesus himself is buried at his ashram? Wow. It's easy to research cultism on the net, and its a well-documented human behavioral phenomenon. See "Miracle, Mystery and Authority: The Triangle of Cult Indoctrination" Psychiatric Annals/April 1990 By John Hochman, MD" Kaleshwar is a textbook case. Trust me, this guy is dangerous and his followers have been brainwashed.

sorry but you friends responsible for this site truly don't know right about advaita - nonduality - you claim to be protecting from rascals.

let me clarify you: in essence, there's only the Absolute, the equanimity you aleged as the reason why you points Sri Kaleshwar as rascal, for example. But physically and functionally there's an infinite diversity of this unity. if you don't consider the true fact that there are - physically and functionally, not essentially - people who can perform things beyond the abillities of others, then you don't understand divinity, my friend, you're forgeting Krishna, Buddha, Jesus and all the ones who've came to show us that inside this real Absolute there's this illusory diversity as well. if everybody were functionally the same as you state here, then why the need of a Master? then are you stating that from Krishna to Kaleshwar, including Buddha and mainly Jesus, they're all liars?
remember, my friends, neti-neti. not this-not this. only by removing you can hit the core. never through getting, only through removing.
Love & Peace

I have visited Kaleshwar's Ashram twice. His "teachings" are based upon explanations which he provides in the context of his own mythos.

His miracles are low grade parlor magic.

His relics are modern copies and crude whole-cloth creations of his own making which hold "power" only by his own assertions and the histories of his own description.

His "amruta", (sacred nectar) which his devotees clamor for is simply bees' honey and his manifestations of it are simply achieved via plumbing under the stones of his grounds and slight of hand like one might see from the street urchins of Bangalore on any given day.

There is certainly a series of trapdoors beneath his temple and dwarkamai which facilitate his manifestations and allow him to pass among his buildings without being seen.

The devotion of his minions is based upon a psychological hierarchy which leads people to recount his "miracles" as truths of their own witness. (Does anyone remember the fable about "The Emperor's New Clothes"?) People stand around in white pajamas trying to be "the most devoted" so that they might be chosen to receive the guru's next miracle. All the while, they fight disbelief and wonder why they can't quite believe the unbelievable.

I believe that Kaleshwar and his most "senior" disciples have pointedly incorporated Christian lore into their own mythos in order to more consistently engage Western "seekers" who might otherwise feel some reluctance to abandon the familiar western theological basis. A few dollars buy many, may rupees!

It's worth noting that Kaleshwar feigns humility in the name of his own Guru, the long deceased Shirdi Sai Baba. Ironically, many of Kaleshwar's practices, and in fact most of his teachings are directly contradictory to the teachings of Shirdi Sai Baba and the Bhagvad-Gita, particularly where austerity his personal austerity is concerned.

Sri Kaleshwar's "charisma" is based upon the fostered fear, self-doubt, and emotional lack of his devotees. During my two visits to Kaleshwar's grounds in Penukonda, I found myself immersed in what I can only describe as "A Girl Scout Camp for Lost Souls".

The biggest Problem is the Money in this Organisation with Swami Kaleshwar.

The Teachings are divine, they sound divine.
But once it comes to money the divine love is stopping.

Each Program Kaleshwar is earing arround 400.000 Dollars.

Where is this money going?

Most Students are broke who are with him for some time.

They come for Healing and go out broke...

KALESHWAR BUISNESS: Always build on an existing franchise: When a Swami bases his practice on an existing Swami or godman’s business, he can tap into the goodwill already existing for his spiritual “parent”.

Even if the Swami whom you’re claiming spiritual descent from doesn’t quite see things your way, there’s nothing much he can do, due to the lack of intellectual property protection.

There are quite a few examples of Swamis that have built their empires on someone who came before them example of a Swami laying claim to the Shirdi Sai Baba heritage is Kaleshwar. While he claims to be a mere disciple of the Shirdi Baba, he does not hesitate to mention and indeed, draw parallels to Shirdi Baba frequently.
The clever Swami builds a network of politicians among all parties, so that no matter who is in power, the Swami’s interests are protected.

Politicians are especially useful in making land grants for ashrams, and getting the Swami out of a bind, should they get caught indulging in un-Swami-like activities. In return, politicians obviously want blessings for success at the ballot box. Cultivating politicians from a wide spectrum ensures that no matter what, there are atleast some devotees of the Swami who are victorious and can deliver the goods.

Befriending an IPS (Indian Police Service) officer or two is also helpful, in case the Swami gets entangled in a police case when the inevitable rivalries and palace intrigues emerge. Similarly with the Judiciary.

Oh my GOD what is going on with Kaleshwar ?

http://www.deccanchronicle.com/hyderabad/scribes-get-threat-miscreants-820

Anantapur, March 24: In the wake of media reports of alleged encroachments made by self-styled godman Kaleshwar in the ancient Penukonda fort, scribes are getting threats from miscreants, who called themselves as Black Cobras.

Some unidentified persons put up posters warning reporters that black cobras, thought to be a vigilante gang would kill them in Penukonda on Tuesday.
Reacting to the threats, about 100 journalists under the aegis of Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Union met the district superintendent of police, Mr Maneesh Kumar Sinha, and demanded immediate arrest of Kaleshwar, and his aides, Nagi Reddy, and Vijaybhaskar Reddy.

The DSP has assured them he would investigate the case and trace the miscreants. This newspaper had published a special story over encroachments made by Kaleshwar and restrictions imposed by his security personnel at ancient sites. Meanwhile three reporters of vernacular newspapers filed a complaint with the Penukonda police and sought protection as they said their lives were under threat from the godmen’s aides.

Kaleswar Scandal moves on...

In the recent past, popular Telugu television channel TV9 has telecast a series of stories on Sai Kaleshwar, a self-styled Baba in Penukonda in Anantapur district, who is attracting thousands of people with his activities and making millions of rupees.

No doubt, there have been umpteen number of stories written against his activities and there were several police cases, including that of molestation of women, against him, but he got away thanks to his links with politicians and police. But the question arises as to why TV9 is running after him now.

Inquiries revealed that Kaleshwar had invested huge amount in TV5, a new channel being promoted by a Rayalaseema chowdary, which is all set to storm the viewers shortly. Thanks to the attractive package doled out by this new channel, several employees belonging to TV9 migrated to this new channel. Naturally, it has caused a heartburn in the TV9 management. Hence the fresh attack on Kaleshwar!

Powers of Sathya Sai Baba and Kaleshwar and naiv Students

I think it is unquestionable that Sathya Sai Baba indeed had Siddhi powers at some point, as his medalions in the orphanage in Mysore are absolutely undeniable miracles which pour Amrit continously (I’ve seen them in my own hand for minutes at a time).

But no amount of miracles & powers makes one Enlightened or Godly and that goes for Kaleshwar too, whom I do not consider Enlightened, although I will say his students are very sincere, albeit in my opinion many (not all) are relatively naive and trusting.

Getting back to Sathya Sai Baba, I think it is hard to say what the truth is about him, but after having watched the movie “Secret Swami”, I was very discouraged from trusting him. But I also thought that movie was a bit too biased, especially in regards to the faking of miracles, because while it is entirely possible, even likely that he fakes them now a days, there’s just as many videos out there that would baffle one as to how he actually performed some of the feats.

The Secret Swami focused only on the ones that look fake. Again my personal stance is that indeed they are faked today, but that many years, possibly decades ago, he did have such powers.

Research how cults form, in behaviorial science and psychology journals, and you will see Sri Kaleshwar is a textbook case.

He's a sociopathic, narcisstic fake guru who will someday rival Jim Jones in his pathology.

Wow. BTW, did you know Jesus himself is buried at his Ashram---from the Swami's mouth.

Hello,
I had the bad luck and have spend one week in Kaleshwar´s place in Penukonda and here is a brief report:

I was fool, naive and I had no clue that spiritual powers and skills could be misused in order to fool people, make them loyal and in the end suck finances out of them.

I thought spiritual master is here to help and to help only. In Penukonda complex, I felt constantly observed, I felt the whole place is designed in order to have best overview of the people locked in.

Locked, because you are not allowed to leave the place. You are required to go straight from the airport to Penukonda via Kaleshwar-provided taxi. There you are to learn mantras, chant them all over all the time, stop to think.

I think the people gathered in are not healers, not even the seniors, they can´t really heal. I was noncomformist and broke rules couple times, and when asked to submiss to the community, I have decided I would rather leave.

When out of the place, I realized that it is nothing more than a sect and very dangerous one.

And that´s why people should know about it.

I pray for all beings awakening. Sri Sai Kaleshwar has brought amazing light into peoples lives, and yes he is a divine soul just as much as all of you are. Divinity is awakened only in the heart of those who are ready by what ever method they need to awaken by, what ever their dharma is, check out "my stroke of insight" a great scientific awakening of a neuroscientist through a stroke that brought this amazing soul completely into her right brain (positive thoughts & holistic thinking) and was forced to learn how to use her left brain again (the source of negative thoughts & reductionist thinking), but now maintains her psyche in her right brain.... what many would say is an enlightened being. Miracles are such an interesting subject... they're really just to help people over come their minds in this physical plane and realize there is more (and also to put the mind in its a place, a tool for survival on this planet.... nothing more than a tool). I've seen many "miracles" from other traditions but none from Sri Sai Kaleshwar, he simply calls them chocolates, and that's all they are, treats for the doubting mind (they work sometimes for people and, well sometimes they don't as exemplified by this blog... and that is perfect because we need to find what we need for us to awaken). I will also say that I believe that many of the charges against Sri Sai Kaleshwar are peoples egos in small town India who are jealous of this young man (BTW, he's brought many amazing blessings to his town including water to the town, a hospital, wheel chairs, etc. etc..... that's where the money goes... not so bad to help others in need?) Besides I've studied under many less than perfect teachers since I was born but each one has made me a better person despite their short comings and I am forever in gratitude and have unconditional love for their service to me on my journey... the most important of those were my parents, not perfect but perfect for me... As for me I had no interest in India or their Gurus so recognizing who Sri Sai Kaleshwar was and is for me and my journey lay more in the realm of the science of statistics.... my bullshit detector if you will, Statistical odds that were off the charts that brought me to him and that continue to be off the charts since studying with him.... one might say I had a better chance of winning the lottery, and, well the blessings that have come have well exceeded any lottery jackpot.... I will also say the only role of a "Guru" is to help us awaken to why we are here.... they are nothing more than a teacher on the journey, just like any other teacher that has empowered us on our journey. I've heard one person say worshiping the guru is like worshipping a door frame... we're missing the point of a guru and we're missing the point of any teacher when we treat them like that. But in all honesty, all that matters at the end of the day is does it help to awaken us to serve humanity and the planet, to make it better for all present and future generations of all sentience.... that's all that matters at the end of the day. I wish you well on your journey and pray that all beings awaken to the bliss and peace of the one. In light, Love & gratitude, Jai Guru Datta anonymous

As the author of the piece above about my two visits to Kaleshwar's ashram, his self-aggrandized mythos, and manipulation of myth by fear, I checked back today. I agree, in principle with the author of the piece immediately prior to this comment, though I find in personal experience that Kaleshwar himself does not hold true to those same principles.

Gurus and their "miracles" are only devices by which we might be given insight to ourselves and our relations with the world around us.

...somewhere along the way though, these Gurus lose sight of truly good intention and become enraptured in their own legends. Ironically, it is the "senior" students who chase the legends while the more recent acolytes retain intention.

In that way, I got something from my experience.

?
I am a Student Kaleshwar and I get his Gurudaymessages.

I got this Email today and Kaleshwar sounds honest.

I feel very confused about the different Reports.

Any comments on this?

Dear Divine Souls,

The human blocks of humanity, in the clarity of the dignity of the humanity, it always will tell the wars and the volcanoes in the whole Mother nature in creation in all phenomena. But to control the Mother we can only pray through our love. Our love needs to be in a dignity and divinity way. In a divine way we need to pray with no selfishness.

On the planet so far, a lot of tragedy has happened. Even though tragedy things are going to happen in the society, instead to protect that there only we can do is send love to the Mother, then the Mother automatically will protect humanity and the society. Otherwise we will be in a problem. Mother is always loving with the great dignity. She is. We need to be compromise with Her love, no matter what.

Every human being in the society has my recommendation to be humble and be honest and be dignified, be loyal, truthful and loving then it automatically will be helpful. It’s a golden statement of your Swami Kaleshwar. The purity of dignity always gives the most humbleness of the great Mother’s loving nature.

As brothers and sisters on the planet, I am requesting to pray for humanity and society in all angles, pray for the Mother nature not to get unnecessarily aggressive and create unnecessary disturbances and try to protect humanity. We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. Of course, we are kids to Her. We are babies to Her, She needs to protect us. It is Her responsibility to take care of our lives.

Only we can send our regards, our pure divine prayers and love, then everything will be fine. She is the most mercy lady and pure divine lady. She will protect us. She will take care the nature.

Try to understand, all my divine souls, whatever my student kingdom, through our love we can make Her calm down, automatically She will calm down.
We need to make Her calm down in a pure divine loving way.

No need to worry, nothing will happen, no unnecessary crazy things on the globe. No need to be panic. The Mother in Her nature won’t create disturbances.

All my love,
Your Swami

That is one of the more benign messages...

There are more purposeful ones sent to some of the various "secret" groups among Kaleshwar's longer term "students".

Ironically, Kaleshwar knows little humility himself anymore. Last year he told many of us that he has now achieved greater power than Kali herself.

He's praying upon those who are desperate to believe in something. His teachers will eventually relate to you that he, (or deferentially Shirdi Sai Baba), chose you to become a student through some divine knowledge of your soul's readiness... but really this is psychological warfare agains your natural doubt.

You are meant to think... "What if he's right? What if I am special. I will miss something."

...and suddenly, you'll be spending another $1008.00 for a process, or a useless blessed trinket.

My brother-in-law dropped $1,000 USD on a seed, provided to him by Kaleshwar. My brother-in-law has been going to his Ashram for years and last week picked he and his family up at the airport in India, after traveling first class to Paris for a shopping trip. His wife and children are covered in gold. This is non-disputed.

This is such a cult... how much more obvious can one get. All I can say is - dont drink the cool aid!

I've known many people who have been with Kaleshwar for many years, and have myself spent time in his ashram, off and on. Seems like peopel who have an ax to grind will grind it about anything, and money is a hot subject with disgruntled people looking for some reason to diss a guru.

Kaleshwar is truly a miracle saint, and has helped heal people all over the world from terminal diseases and horrible conditions. He's also given tons of money to charities, public works, education of entire villages in his local area. His students do have healing abilities, have witnessed them myself.

Some people will see a rope, others will see a snake. God alone knows the truth or can make absolute pronouncements about another person. I imagine we'd all be better off doing our own meditations and not wasting time arguing over who's a real saint and who's a snake. You'll see a snake, every time, and one that's poised to bite. I'll see a harmless rope, every time.

If you read his book, The Real Life and Teachings of Jesus Christ, Sri Kaleshwar states he has the Truth, period. He lived with Jesus 2,000 years ago and says Jesus was an expert wine maker. (Don't you just love those little bits of irrelevant trivia about Jesus that didn't make it into the Gospels?) When he stays on the subject at all, he claims that Jesus was brought back to life by his Mother Mary using her womb chakra "mechanism" after he was crucified. Then Jesus went to India and had kids with Mary Magdeline. He offers no proof of this except it is true because he has scrutinized some palm leaves and decided it is THE Truth. We also hear about all these other characters from the Indian tradition. He mixes Western and Eastern theology into a Jesus cocktail and serves it up without proof. He writes that the proof is coming. As we say where I come from "and so is Christmas." He also claims that the location of his ashram is the Jesus "power spot" on the GLOBE and that in time people will be waiting in line a year just to get in there. (Better get your tickets now so you won't be left out!) I doubt Jesus could match Sri as an entrepreneur.

It is a poorly written book with really nice photographs. There is no law against publishing outrageous books, but if it is true that people have bought into more than that and have been ripped off, then he is not so benign.

He certainly has his followers hypnotized, and if you make the smallest criticism, they will defend him vigorously. For the most part, it seems you are either inside the cult or an outsider.

Kaleswar is a fraud in terms of the Vaastu he teaches. He has not really learned the field properly nor does he have any authentic credentials. He does not come from a traditional family of Vaastu architects nor is he born in the proper cast to clain this knowledge. He is a fraud in this field. I have studied for years with a traditional Vaastu Architect in India who comes form an ancient lineage and I tell you, Kalaswar is a fraud. He only knows a small part of vaasutu which he got form some books that aren't authentic Shastras and he gives wrong information. If he is a fraud in this he must be a fraud in everything else. Don't fall for him. If you want to know vaastu go to a real teacher who comes from a tradition. There is only one living Shilpi Guru and one living student authorized fully to teach in the name of this Shilpi Guru. AUM S&T

Those who think he is divine are being hoodwinked... leave these false Gurus and false prophets... And, leave his students who also claim to teach. They are poor fools who fell pray to a charlaton.

My husband, now ex, has been a devotee for 9 years now. It has been devastating to watch this process over the years as he has given away all his power to swami kaleshwar. All of his money, our marriage, friendships and now a strained relationships with his family. Swami just arranged a marriage for him and another devotee. They had no previous relationship or much of a friendship. Pure control over him and he just aches for swami's approval and the "chance" to be a part of the next "miracle." He is studying to be a master healer but after 9 years he can't even heal a house plant. I feel for all the family and friends who have lost loved ones to this cult master.

Swami actually got stoned with my sister when traveling in the US a few years back and slept with her on two different occasions. Its common knowledge among his core students that me smokes pot and drinks. His upcoming Soul University just was changed from 6 months at $10,000 USD to 3 weeks at $5,000 USD. And he promises that this is it! After this course you will be a Master Teacher.

Its all just kind of elementary with all this but he has so roped in a few good friends of mine and milked them for all they were worth, giving him well over $150,000 USD over the years. His days are numbered though, there is no denying this. Peace.

Any news how his recent program went in India this past few weeks? Looks like he getting desperate.... no one has signed up for his Soul University so he has reduced classes from 6 months down to 3 weeks. You can be enlightened for only $5,000 instead of $10,000. Wow, maybe he'll start giving 2 for 1 deals soon.....

This guy is so finished. His poor students. When he flies the coup to his farm, wife and children, I wonder where all these people will go - all these people that have given him every cent, their wife, their husband and every last one of their friendships.

He travels with Jesus, so he says, but I wonder if he's met the devil?

Wow. Jesus didn't charge a cent for his "soul university." Do you think it really might be easier, as Jesus said, to pass a camel through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter into heaven?" This guy is very wealthy; why does he charge anything at all for his soul university? Why is he, a married man, sleeping with other women and abusing his power? Why does he get drunk and smoke pot? Sounds like he needs to enter a 12 step program. My heart goes out to the poor souls taken in and robbed by this egomaniac.

This entire thread smacks of intentional sabotage. It takes minimum intelligence to see that not only has one person assumed many characters under the cowardly auspice of 'anonymous' but the extent of this 'insight' or involvement would hardly come from from someone who rejects any form of non-scientific explanations as is the prerequisite of this baseless article. This is quite obviously not the forum for open minded and honest dialogue and understanding. You clearly feel very wronged and for that I hope you find peace with yourself, but do not think you have the right to reject the experiences and beliefs of others to satisfy your own malice.
I reject not only what you are saying 'anonymous' but how you are saying it and your motives for doing so.

@Tina: To be clear: Are you saying that one person with an axe to grind wrote all of these comments? I guess I do not have minimal intelligence because I distinguish a variety of writing styles and perspectives. Sorry, but I also prefer to remain "Anonymous" for privacy reason, although I do not see that "Tina" is much different than "Anonymous" because there are millions of Tinas out there. I enjoy reading the comments here, including yours. I have not met Sri Kaleshwar and cannot comment, but I couldn't possible afford the tutelage at his soul university anyway. ;-) Namaste

I wonder if any of swami's students have bothered to google The Open International University of Complimentary Medicine where swami claims to have received an honorary Doctorate degree. The elementary neon yellow website has not been up-dated since 2002 and is not a credited or recognized institution. For a fee of $750 you can receive a doctorate or for $850 a PhD...
Just saying.....

Hi,
I wanted to visit the ashram temple and i came from Australia and they never let me visit the sai temple inside ashram. instead guards were holding sticks and stopped me from seeing sai baba. I thought it was sai baba who didn't wish to see me but I was wrong because sai baba let me visit him in shirdi. Anyway I was really naive and really believed in kaleshwar books that i was buying online until my visit to ashram where they refused to let me have sai darshan. I really dont know what is truth anymore.. i am too naive for this world.. i really cried next day after not getting to see sai in the ashram.

Those who throw negativity and slander on any human soul, clearly don't come from a place of love. If there is no love in your words, how can you know the truth?

How can you know the truth if you are confused, if you're angry, hurt, heartbroken and afraid? What good will you do with your words?

What power will you gain by trying to hurt someone, anyone? Does it feel good to hurt someone? Why?
What does that make you? One of the good guys? Really?

Is it truly that gratifying to feel you have "debunked" what you believe (not actually know) is a fake?
But, what if, just what IF, you are wrong?
What if you are hurting the truth?

Why act on behalf of the negativity in the world when you could spend that same energy to support the peace in you and around you.
Why spread more poison than love? What good does it do?

If you can't side with love, if you can't say anything good, don't speak. Be silent. You do better that way for everyone, but most for yourself. Gossip is a terrible poison. It poisons you and spreads negativity like wildfire. Why create that kind of unnecessary karma?

Let me tell you, the man you speak against, he loves you and forgives you all.

The idea of "love" has enabled more criminal gurus than any other notion out there. It's the universal hideout of the flimflamming fauxru, and rather than creating more of it, these destitute souls are spitting on it and grinding it into the filthy mud of their own greed.

Swami K is all done folks. His senior students are leaving in droves... all 30 of them. His Ashram is now open to the public, which is hysterical as I though Jesus Christ was buried there..

Swami is now a business man, owning a large portion of a tv station there in India - all purchased with your money. My heart does go out to the people that have lost so much because of him.

Ha! I was roped into going to his ashram in 2009 through an old girlfriend, spent a lot of money on the trip. She was so sure he's the second coming of Christ. So naive. I hope your husband has taken you back and I hope your kids have forgiven you. And what's going to happen to the place in Laytonville, CA? Wow what a major scam.

I too have spent time with Swamiji and I can testify that he does indeed have powerful shakti and some siddhis or magic powers at least. I don't believe he is Enlightened however and he does tend to avoid a real discussion of that topic, preferring rather to redefine it as something other then traditional moksha. Still, he does do a lot of good and seva to many people and his techniques are powerful, though they do not lead one to the supreme realization of the Self, in my opinion. He does make a lot of money but much is given to the poor, etc. I can't say what the exact ratio of income to outgo actually is and that would be interesting to know. My biggest disappointment is that he charges money, and a lot of it, for spiritual knowledge. That is generally a big no no. There are many gurus who charge for their teachings but few who give freely, trusting only in God to provide the necessary funds. A true Guru will not ask for money or even take your money, but will give you money instead if you need it. He has mastery over nature and access to the infinite resources within himself so nothing is impossible for him. To the true Guru, wealth is nothing, but such Masters are rare and hard to find today.

To be a spiritual teacher is not an easy thing. People try to put you on a pedestal and worship you and it can be quite a challenge to the ego. Women throw themselves at you and money can flood from all sides if you become successful. Unless one is in a state of perfection, it is almost impossible not to take some falls here and there. Being a Guru is a dangerous thing if one still thinks they are the Doer. I have a lot of compassion for those who attempt to do so.

Well...

He's apparently died today of some kind of kidney failure at 38. This is really quite unfortunate, most especially for those who did receive his charity, however self-serving it was. I wonder which of his opportunistic monkey-see-monkey-do types will be first to try to muster the charisma and the hubris to assume the throne and try to succeed him. Hmmm... Sri Sri Philip Lipetz or Sri Sri Dr. Clint Thompson M.D., perhaps? Maybe it's time for patronizing Sri Sri Monika, . It will be a race of psychology and charisma, I suppose.

What is the current status in the leadership? Some of my "candidates" for succession are back in the States doing their thing, for pay, and throwing Kaleshwars name around for added credability. Perhaps they have wised up and quit giving book royalties and inflated speaking fees back to Kaleshwar. Many are ready to be on their own and just may be discovering it.

Is this thread closed? I have two friends that are there about half of the year and haven't heard from them since Kaleshwar died. I am getting a bit concerned as I can't get a real feel for what is going on there and I am guessing there must be a mad scramble for power. My friends are not long time devotees. They would not be considered an asset as they don't have much money, no rare job skills or contacts and are close to their families who want them home half of the time.

It looks like there has been a mass exedos of Western students now that the locals have taken over. The top candidates for the leadership are ready to strike out on their own stateside and already have a faithful following. It makes sense to me.

At 9/20/2012 2:00 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

My friends finally made it back home with the help of a longtime Western student who was there for a visit. While the locals are taking charge, they are not as savy, particularly tech savy, as the Western students and are needing assistance in order to maintain some sort of international following. While my friends were advised by locals not to discuss anything they have seen or heard since the death, they said the Western students left when it became appearant that their favorite Western leader was quietly seperating from the organization. I get the impression that the local politicians are becoming more and more involved.

At 9/21/2012 6:10 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

It only makes sense that the top tier of Western Students will stay stateside as some of them are getting $250.00-$300.00 for a six hour meetup. Bring your own sack meal for meal break. The meetups are full and reservations are mandatory. Most also have side projects they are working on that are best done from stateside so this is working out well for quite a few. It was a matter of time before the local politicians got more deeply involved as there are plenty of accets if you can find them all. Ironicly, the senior Western students would be most helpful in that matter.

At 10/10/2012 2:59 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

The top tier is better off stateside. They have put in their time and have their credentials and following. They are now independant, not accountable financially or spiritually to Kaleshwar. The tables have turned.

Do you think true gurus anounce themselves that they have got miracle powers?.

What do you do with miracle powers? and why do u want them?

why can not we try to see god without any miracles?

The tragedy is the moment we talk about god we link miracles too.

Any person who is bit clever and read one or two books on meditation and gods can fool people.

As long as people want to see god overnight or instantly if possible, go and bow at such god (less) men, this problem will not end.

Sit quitely and just meditate and investigate into your self your thoughts, that is where god is.

We do not want to do that because we want some one else to give everything readily available.

Bottom line is the whole speel swami sold was this: you can be a healer as powerful as christ, give me money, and do these mantras. And people did it. And it NEVER worked for anyone. Not even Clint and Monica or any other senior student. Now they all lie to new students tell them the same BS and take their money and give mantras. Lol. They never come off their mountain hideaway. Just sit up their collecting money. Oh yea, bet most don't know this. Two years ago they got busted for growing hundreds of marijuana plants. Their temple is in norcL, in the emerald triangle! Fucking greedy liars! Get away from them!

tom line is swami said give me money, do these mantras, and you can be a master on the level of jesus. He IS Either A liar, or his students all failures. I think it may be a bit of both. He was very obsessed with money. Yea, he helped the poor alot, but he also. Wasted alot of excess.luxury. in the end, nothing he said came to be. His Students Are All Fairless Who Are As Greedy as he was, and just lie to new students to trick them. Where are the healers he made? Oh yea, out drinking, working lame kobs, paying bills, and pretending that their past 10 years with swami was not a waste. Monica and Clint sit in the mountain top in laytonville growing weed. Got busted two years ago for growing Hundreds of plants. What a crock of shit. Miricle masters my ass. Stuck up rich folk is more like it.

But he did not do.as he said he would. None of his students are masters. They all seem to forget, after all the money they paid, Ll the processes they did, after 'immortal enlightenment' you were supposed to be masters. Great healing saints, like Christ. You all failed, or he is a liar.

You bad mouth everyone lol so would you leave the most favourable ones alone? Nah! enjoy wallowing in your own self pity. I feel sorry for you and send you some good vibes to allow the dIVINE TO TOUCH YOUR HEART IN SOME WAY. bUT HEY, PLEASE! get a life . Really? what a load of codswallop you spew here.
